Pau Hana Surf Supply is releasing a new endurance touring SUP intended for multi-day overnight touring trips featuring extremely durable construction.
Pau Hana owner Todd Caranto says that what makes the Endurance board unique is its construction using Ricochet Impact Resistant Technology. It is a real composite board and the Ricochet gives the fiberglass flexible memory, meaning it could handle a bowling ball being dropped on it. In endurance SUPer terms, this technology means that the board can stand up to being pulled over rocks in streams or low water and it won’t break.
Caranto says the Endurance was created to meet the needs of the endurance touring paddlers they have seen and heard of beating up their boards on trips. He explains that they wanted to make this product for a long time, but decided to hold off until they were able to make the best product possible. Pau Hana is now working on adding the same technology found in this endurance touring SUP into their other boards.
The Endurance also has a heavy duty cargo net and a bow made of burl wood.
