At the first day of Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2016 we spoke with Hawaii-based John Amundson about Amundson SUP’s redesigned TR series of SUP boards.
Amundson showed us one of the new boards in the lineup, the TR 11’6” which includes new features like a more concave bottom, allowing for better movement while retaining stability. Another new feature is a beveled rail, a 45 degree cut on the side which means the board is able to perform much better when paddled in windy conditions.
The new TR series is composed of seven boards, and Amundson says the inspiration for the redesigns was about staying focused and always improving their product. “We’re taking designs and making them better.”
The series is best for the touring or racing paddler and boards range in price from $1399-$1899.
