The Great Canadian Kayak Challenge & Festival takes place the last weekend of August at the Moutjoy Historical Conservation Park, Mattagami River. This festival event includes continuous live entertainment and two nights of concerts, fireworks, leisure paddles, family leisure paddle and shore lunch, and river tours, beer tents, the Alzheimer’s Society Duck Race, and over 50 exhibitors featuring local artists, businesses, organizations, and non-profit organizations.
