Delta’s New Fusion Hull

This season Delta updated the hull of their bestselling rec boat, the 10.

The new Fusion Hull features a displacement bow, for easily cutting through the water, and a catamaran style stern for extra stability. According to Delta, this redesign has allowed the Delta team to keep the boat narrow and stable, while increasing paddling efficiency and performance.

The hull update also allowed Delta to shave a full pound off the model, bringing the 10’s weight down from 38 pounds to 37 pounds. “It’s an ideal boat for beginner and intermediate recreational paddlers,” says Delta’s marketing rep Mike Squarek. He notes it’s also popular in the yatching community as a deck toy, and Delta makes the design in all white to accommodate this demographic.

The 10 has been popular in the years since its release, and the Fusion Hull redesign has only increased its popularity, says Squarek.

The Delta 10 features the same performance-oriented outfitting customers expect from the brand—just because it’s a boat aimed at beginners and rec boaters doesn’t mean it’s been “dumbed down,” adds Squarek.

The 10 is currently available and retails for $999 USD.
