Free tickets to the March 27th online seminar Hydrology for Paddlers are now available. This event is the first seminar for Whitewater Ontario’s River Science For Paddlers series. Hosted by “River Doctor” Dr. Ben Plumb, the talk will discuss factors influencing how water moves within a watershed. Its overall objective is to provide some topics for consideration for predicting flows of your favorite river.
Dr. Ben Plumb is a member of the Whitewater Ontario Board and currently resides in Ottawa, Canada. Through this profession as a river engineer and fluvial geomorphologist, he studies, designs and restores rivers to enhance fish habitat, mitigate flooding, promote sustainable infrastructure development and mitigate erosion risk. Ben has dedicated the last decade to better understand how rivers work in order to find and design solutions for many issues facing our rivers. Ben is the newest Director at Large for Whitewater Ontario and has a Doctorate in Fluvial Geomorphology.
