Kayakers Paddle Humboldt’s Flooded Avenue Of The Giants

Humboldt’s famed Avenue of the Giants has experienced major flooding and is currently closed to motorized vehicles. These kayakers find a way to enjoy the beauty of this otherwise unfortunate circumstance.

The Avenue of the Giants is a destination known by many who have traveled by vehicle. Few can say they have been able to take in the beauty of this area which has the largest remaining stand of virgin redwoods in the world by kayak.

It is great to see people taking advantage of this situation, but even when the water isn’t that deep, it is still important to wear a life jacket.
