Perhaps it’s the copy of Golden Spruce on my nightstand, the soon-to-be-released film Kayaking the Aleutians, or the remarkable achievement of Justine Curgenven’s more-than-10-years of sea kayak filmmaking, highlighted in the upcoming Early Summer 2015 issue of Adventure Kayak magazine. Either way, it seemed an appropriate time to share this excerpt from Curgenven’s excellent, five-year-old documentary.

Justine Curgenven, Shawna Franklin & Leon Somme kayaked 500 miles around Haida Gwaii, a remote archipelago off the coast of British Columbia, encountering amazing wildlife, fascinating Haida native culture and stunning wild scenery. This trailer is from a 40-minute documentary on the DVD This is the Sea 4.
