The 3rd Laguna Bacalar Paddle Marathon will take place Saturday April 30 and Sunday May 1 on Laguna Bacalar. Friday 29 of April, registration and the opening of the event will be held at cafe “El Manatí” with a free movie “Racing Extinction”.
Saturday will have a long distance marathon of 30 kilometers as well as recreational sprints of one, two and five kilometers. An awards ceremony will be hosted by Kai Pez restaurant in the afternoon. Sunday will have sprints of one, two and five kilometers, minimum age seven years followed by the award ceremony at the Balneario “ElAserradero”.
Throughout the weekend, Adventure Tourism 2016 exposition will feature services and products from businesses in the area as well as educational and training sessions and equipment to try out. Bacalar Pueblo will host cultural events for visitors.
