Werner Paddles is pleased to announce organizational changes within their sales team.
Sasha Stone has joined Werner Paddles in March of 2018 as the Northeast & Midwest territory Sales Rep. Stone spent the last 17 years working at Rutabaga Paddlesports in Madison, Wisconsin. She started as a seasonal sales associate, but is most known in the industry as a buyer and the Canoecopia events manager. Stone coached collegiate rowing for 14 years and from 1996-1999 she was the lightweight women’s coach at University of Wisconsin and led her team to compete in the championship regattas each of those years. Sasha Stone got her start in paddling both from the draw of a sea kayak and a canoe. Her favorite place to tour is the archipelagos of the San Blas Islands in Panama.
Nick Hinds joined Werner Paddles in January of 2018 as the Northwest territory sales rep. Hinds started in the industry in 2003 with Paddler Magazine and prior to joining Werner Paddles he was with Canoe & Kayak since 2008. Hinds got his first taste of whitewater from a canoe in 1991 paddling in North Carolina and he took to kayaking whitewater while attending the University of Colorado Boulder in 2000. Hinds is the author of Paddling Pacific Northwest Whitewater (Falcon Press) his currently favorite place to paddle is the Upper Green River Gorge near Black Diamond, Wash.
Dugan Flanders has been with Werner Paddles since May 2015 as a Customer Service rep for both the Southwest and Southeast territories. He was promoted to the Southwest Sales Rep. on January 1st 2018. After growing up in the Sky Valley just down the road from Werner’s production facility, Dugan joined Werner Paddles upon his return home from four years active duty in the United States Marine Corps. The Skykomish River is not only home, but also his favorite place in the entire world to whitewater paddle.
