The Colorado River had not kissed the sea in almost two decades, until the spring of 2014 when an experimental pulse of water was released into this forgotten delta. Award-winning National Geographic photographer and filmmaker Pete McBride leads a team of river runners who follow the water by canoe and standup paddleboard to witness this unprecedented restoration effort, and attempt to be the only—but hopefully not the last—to float the Colorado River to the sea.

This movie won best Environmental film in the Reel Paddling Film Festival.
