Body Glove had their new inflatable SUP at Outdoor Demo Day in advance of the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market.
Body Glove’s Matthew Ross showed us the Performer 11, an inflatable SUP designed by Luke Hopkins, a top athlete in the stand-up paddleboarding world and a GoPro Mountain Games medalist.
The board is designed for easy transportation and inflates in less than five minutes. The Performer 11 is 34-inches wide and is super-stable, making it a great choice for paddlers who want to head out on the water with kids, their dog or even practice some yoga. The board also features a carrier loop that can also hold a water bottle. There is a bumper on the nose of the board, and three fixed fins. The board weighs 21 pounds inflated.
Body Glove told us that in Europe, the vast majority of the SUP market is inflatable and that the US seems to be headed in the same direction. They also noted that a lot of people who love paddling just don’t have the room in their homes to store a hardboard.
