The Stellar 16-foot surf ski (S16) is a performance sit-on-top that is stable enough for entry level and intermediate paddlers to feel comfortable, but fast enough for fitness paddling and racing. We felt like we were flying across the lake!

The open cockpit, rounded seat and three-point footboard is super comfortable and responsive, keeping paddlers on track. The gas-pedal style of steering is super intuitive, even for beginners. Offering hybrid features of a surf ski crossed with a touring kayak, the S16S also has two watertight hatches allow for modest storage for day tripping and overnights.

Its new Multi-sport laminate construction is made of carbon and Kevlar, which offers great strength while still offering some flexibility. This construction is suited to paddling in deep lakes as well as shallow rivers, thanks to the impact resistance of the layup.
Retails for between $2,150 to $4,880, depending on construction.
