We stopped by the Salamander Paddle Gear booth at Outdoor Retailer’s Summer Market Place and were excited to check out the new sleek and durable bike trailer. The trailer clamps onto pretty much any bike seat post and allows for a full rotation and great turning radius. The foam filled tires promise to be super durable so pedalers won’t need to worry about flats. The trailer can carry anything from a four-foot surf board to a 17-foot sea kayak thanks to the trailer’s extensions. And there’s also a gear bag so you can bring all you essentials to the water with you.

Salamander also showcased two new paddleboards. The Vouyageur is a 9’6” board that will make a great downriver vehicle. At 36 inches wide and 32 pounds, it features easy grab handles and attachment points for adventures large and small. The 8’6” Shredder offers lots of rocker, making it perfect for river adventures and surfing. It’s the kind of board we can easily imagine spending afternoons playing in the rapids on.
