After years of making great kayaks at affordable price points, Perception Kayaks are setting their sights on kayak paddles. These three models will get you moving.
New paddles from Perception Kayaks
Paddle #1: Universal
The first of the new kayak paddles is the Universal model. It has an asymmetrical blade, long dihedral, with a nylon fiberglass blade on an aluminum shaft. It is strong but not very heavy.
Paddle #2: Hi Life
The next paddle is the Hi Life paddle. This paddle doubles as a kayak paddle and a SUP paddle. It comes in three pieces, and is designed to be most compatible with the Perception Hi Life kayak/SUP hybrid.
Paddle #3: Pescador Angler
The third kayak paddle is the Pescador Angler model. As the name suggests, this paddle works extremely well with the wildly popular Pescador fishing kayak. It has about 8 inches of length adjustment, so it can go from approximately 90 to 98 inches long.

From my time paddling and racing kayaks with the Washington (DC) Canoe Club in the early 1960’s, I still have a double-blade Swedish wood paddle made by Max Andersson. It’s in outstanding good condition. The paddle was given to me by Glorianne Perrier when training for the 1964 Olympics….and won silver with Francine Fox in the 500 m K2.
I’d now like to sell it. Can you offer an estimate of its value….or perhaps a source or contact who may have an interest and provide information. Thanks!
