Stohlquist WaterWare brought their updated mesh-back line of PFDs to Outdoor Retailer 2017. Though Stohlquist had mesh-back PFDs before, the updated line has mesh that runs higher on your back to accommodate for the newer, higher-backed seats in kayaks.
Stohlquist also added a “graded sizing” system to their new PFDs. Traditionally, all PFDs are built with the padding being the same size and the straps being shortened or lengthened as the sizes change. Stohlquist have bucked that trend by sizing each part of their PFDs to match the size of the person wearing it.
