The all-new Karma Traverse from Jackson Kayak is the perfect option for multi-day river trips. “We’ve taken the best of the Rogue, the RG and the Karma and put them together,” says marketing manager James McBeath.
The new Traverse features an elongated Karma hull—not quite as long as the RG— the new Traverse has a great glide, good tracking on the flats, as well as an great river play on class III+.
Expect to see a high volume kayak, with more storage in the stern and a bigger cockpit. In fact, the prototype of the Traverse we saw was so fresh the cockpit had been welded in.
Currently the Rogue is Jackson’s most popular option for multi-day river trips. The Traverse features more rocker than the Rogue. The Jackson RG was also a popular option for multi-day trips however many paddlers felt it wasn’t maneuverable enough on twisty routes—the Traverse will address this to become Jackson’s premier choice for multi-day river trips.
