Red Paddle Co came to Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2016 with new technology and a new system that helps the SUP keep from flexing up.
New for 2016, MSL fusion composite and airtight coating gives Red Paddle Co boards a lightness and a stiffness not found in boards that use single layer technology. This new construction means that all boards made with MSL fusion are up to 4.5 pounds lighter, while still having enough weight to stand up to wind and current. All boards made this year contain the new technology.
The inflatable stand up paddleboard company also spoke about their new patented Forward Flex Control. A pole extends from the center of the SUP to the nose in order to keep the board from flexing upwards in choppy water or during races. A Red Paddle Co representative explained that they came up with the idea after hearing feedback from elite racers.
Red Paddle Co is also using RAM Mounts, allowing users to attach fishing rods or GoPros on the ends of their SUPs.
