“Only a few months ago, hardly anyone knew that the Port of Seattle was quietly making a deal with Shell Oil to house its Arctic drilling rigs in our city. But now the secret’s out.
To get the Port of Seattle to break its deal with Big Oil, we need to keep up the pressure and make sure it’s clear that Seattle doesn’t welcome climate destroyers like Shell. We are taking our peaceful protest to the water!
What: Shell No Flotilla: Paddle in Seattle!
Family-friendly flotilla of kayaks and small boats
Plus music, food trucks, arts, and more

Water activities: Registration starts at 10am, enter the water at 1pm

Water not your thing? Don’t worry there will also be plenty of ways to participate from shore, don’t hesitate to RSVP.
Seattle is the last stop Shell’s Arctic oil rigs will make before heading north to drill this summer. That’s why environmental and social justice groups are working together to organize this massive flotilla of kayaks and boats — so Shell knows that we won’t stop until it’s out of Seattle and out of the Arctic.
Seattleites will come together to speak up for the Arctic and for the climate on May 16th. This fight is the people versus Shell. The people can win! Let’s take a stand against Big Oil together.”
